This covers both those who like high fenders as a design feature and those who want to avoid the risk of damage to the fenders due to mud and other debris getting stuck between the tires and the fenders.
Features
The highlight of the T7 High Fender Kit is the machined aluminum fender adapter/brake manifold.This part serves two important functions.
1. the fender cannot be bolted to the 4 screw holes on the bottom of the bottom clamp as it is stock, because the distance between the radiator and the front tire is very close.
Even with short supermotard fenders, the back of the fender will hit the radiator guard of the bike.
This bracket (adapter / manifold) has an offset bolt pattern that moves the fender forward to clear interference with the radiator guard.
There is one front output for the ABS module of the bike, but of course there are two brake calipers.
This bracket also serves as a manifold to split the hose from the ABS module into two separate hoses.
This structure solves the problem of the stock front brake hose, which is dangerous in its original layout.
The advantage of the stock low fender is is its three-piece construction with the top bolted to the fork guard, rather than the one-piece construction found on most other bikes with low fenders.
This means that the top of the fender can be removed and the stock fork guards can be used without modification.
This lowers the cost of the kit, simplifies installation, and enables the factory look.
The kit also includes high quality stainless steel brake hoses from Galfer, one of the best brands in the industry.
Fenders are not included in the kit, for several reasons
1. shipping the kit without fenders will lead to cost reduction for everyone.
Fenders are bulky and require a much larger shipping box than this kit itself.
2. it is difficult to stock all fenders because there are several styles and colors to choose from.
Camel purchases fenders at close to retail price.
In most cases, the cost of purchasing fenders will be higher than your local price.
Fender Information
Due to the short distance between the triple clamps of the bike and the radiator guard and the small size of the stock fork guards, it is recommended to use one of the following fenders.
ACERBIS (YZ/WR) Super Moto Fenders are the easiest to install and look good.
Available in black (0008033.090), white (0008033.030), red (0008033.110.990), blue (0008033.040.098) (available for order at BONSAI MOTO).
UFO Motard aero fenders are one of the easiest to install.
Available in black (PA01029-001), white (PA01029-041), red (PA01029-070), and blue (PA01029-089).
In BONSAI MOTO, the fender that is easy to arrange will be Acerbis.
In addition, it is necessary to make a small modification to avoid interference with the fork guard.
