This part is almost always the reason why the seat does not open and close properly.
The cylinder in the seat lock is made of resin, and an iron arm moves this resin to open and close the lock, so after many years of use, the corner of the cylinder will decrease and it will become difficult to open and close the lock.

Especially, if the seat is warped by the seat processing or the lock position is slightly changed when the seat is changed to the aftermarket one, the force will be applied more than when the stock one is used, and the corner of this resin will be damaged.

There is also a solution to replace the whole lock, but it means replacing the whole key, so you will have two keys, one for the main key and one for the seat!
